DCR

Desktop Carbon Coater

The DCR is a fast, user-friendly, and compact carbon coating system designed for precise sample preparation. It is ideal for applications requiring analysis by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) diffraction. This versatile system ensures high-quality carbon coatings, providing excellent results for various microscopy techniques.

Pulsed Carbon Fiber
Evaporation

The DCR desk vacuum carbon coating system features pulsed carbon fiber evaporation, allowing for more controlled deposition. Short pulses minimize debris typically associated with traditional carbon deposition methods, ensuring cleaner and more precise coatings.

Carbon Rod
Evaporation (Optional)

The DCR desk high vacuum carbon coater can be equipped with an optional carbon rod evaporator head. In this configuration, an external 0-100 A high-current power supply is required, replacing the internal power supply designed for carbon fiber evaporation.

Newly Designed Sample Holder

A new 4-inch rotating sample holder with an optional gear offset is designed for the system to increase the deposition area and the number of coating stubs in a run.

Touch Screen DCR

Desk carbon coater is equipped with a 7” colored touch screen with full automatic control using a user-friendly software to control and adjust the deposition process data. The vacuum and coating sequence information can be observed as digital data or curves on the touch screen. The last 300 coatings information is saved on the history page and can be transferred to PC by a USB port on the device.

Sample Holder DCR

DTE deposition system enables metal evaporation in upward and downward configurations.
  • Upward deposition: The material is loaded in a boat source and the sample is attached to the S-Clips on the chamber lead to allow easy access.
  • Downward deposition: A small amount of desired material is loaded in the basket with rotating sample holder (Optional) on the baseplate.
